Brilliant Balloons event at Overchurch Infants

On Thursday 22nd May Overchurch Infants school held their 3rd annual whole school event.

The event, Brilliant Balloons, was centred around encouraging positive behaviour at home.

The event ran twice through the day - 9am-11am and 1:15pm-3:15pm to allow for as many parents and family members to attend as possible. There wasn’t a spare seat at either session!

The school choir started off both sessions with a feel good performance of ‘Reach for the Stars’. The ADHD foundation presented to parents and as ever there were themed biscuits a plenty. The school kitchen staff made hundreds of balloon shaped treats for the children and their families to enjoy. There was also a range of balloon-themed activities for the families to have fun doing together.

SENDLO joined a marketplace of services to offer support and guidance to the parent/carers. The Positivitree, 0-19 NHS service, Family Toolbox, Branch, ADDvanced Solutions, Autism Together, Early Help Team, Family Hubs, Crea8ing Community, The Positivity Club, Mental Health services, Wirral’s Activity Co-ordinator, Speech & Language team and Home Instead also attended to offer help and advice.

It was a very successful and well attended day. The families had fun together whilst learning of the support available to them if/when they need it. Well done Overchurch Infants!
