Wirral’s Priority Action Plan
The Local Area SEND Partnership’s Priority Action Plan details the next steps for improving SEND services in Wirral.
Last week we shared the news that we've been asked to focus on improving three key areas of SEND services in Wirral, with an updated Improvement Notice.
We wanted to let you know that the Local Area SEND Partnership has now published its Priority Action Plan, following approval of the plan from Ofsted, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and the Department for Education.
The plan focuses on the three areas for improvement inspectors identified in the Area SEND Inspection in January 2025. It sets out the steps that the partnership will take to improve these key services for children and young people with SEND in Wirral. It also provides a timeframe for change.
The partnership will track the progress of the Priority Plan using data collected from services. It will provide monthly updates to the Local Area SEND Partnership Board. As we continue working on these actions, here's an update on what's in that plan and how it will affect you: Wirral's SEND Priority Action Plan
