Wirral Met hosts enrichment event for students with SEND
Wirral Met hosted a SEND Enrichment and Information Fair. Giving students with SEND the chance to explore local activities and support.
SENDLO was delighted to be invited to the event, which took place last week. We had a great time getting to know some of the students with SEND at Wirral Met College!
The college put on the fab event for current SEND students, and those who will be starting a course in September. The SEND Enrichment and Information Fair took over the atrium at the Conway Park Campus on Friday afternoon. A variety of services, charities and groups set up their stalls. Showcasing what variety of activities, support and enrichment available.
Students were able to:
Explore UK Unplugged's cutting-edge activity boxes. Designed to help young people take a break from screens and get creative.
Find out more about Wirral Met's student-led Neurodiversity Council and other groups at the college.
Discover the range of activities that Happy Times offer for young adults. Creating connections and a social network. Including games, music, events, sensory activities and much more!
There were many other providers at the event, including Shared Lives. Plus inclusive education and life skills training provider, Resilient (NW) CIC. Students due to start in September were able to come and see what's in store for them. Giving them a chance to meet current learners and find out more about college life.
